The Most Reverend Ruperto C. Santos, D.D., was raised to the Episcopacy to become the Bishop of Balanga.  The episcopal consecration was held at the Manila Cathedral on June 24, 2010. His Eminence, Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales, Archbishop of Manila, was the ordaining prelate, together with His Eminence, Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal of Cebu and His Excellency, Most Rev. Edward Adams, the Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines.
