The Golden Thread of PCF's History

1959 January 26-31:  meeting of the Catholic Hierarchy of the Philippines whern Cardinal Santos proposed a resolution for the PCF establishment.

1959 August 08:  Blessing of the cornerstone by Pope John XXIII in his private study at Castelgandolfo.  The following day was the laying of the cornerstone and construction began afterwards.

1961 June 29:  Pope John XXIII instituted the Collegium Clericum Philippinorum in Urbe with the Apostolic Letter "Sancta Maria Ecclesia".  With this, he vested it with the title 'Pontificium'.

1961 October 07:  Pope John XXIII inaugurated the PCF.

Come 2011, PCF will gratefully celebrate its 50 years offorming priests under the shadow of Peter.
