2021.05.14 Pope Francis signs picture of Audience with Collegio Filippino

The Holy Father Pope Francis signed a picture of the Private Audience he granted to the Pontificio Collegio Filippino last March. His Eminence, Luis Antonio G. Card. Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and former Archbishop of Manila, brought the picture to the Vatican during his regular meeting with the Holy Father.

The picture measures 50 x 76 cm (20 x 30 inches), and will be placed next to similar pictures of the Collegio’s past audiences with Pope John Paul II for the Collegio’s 40th anniversary in 2001 and Pope Benedict XVI for the Collegio’s 50th anniversary in 2011.

In his letter of request in Spanish, Fr. Gregory Ramon D. GASTON, Rector of Collegio Filippino, wrote:

¡Buenos días! De nuevo le agradezcemos por la Audience que nos concedió el pasado 22 de marzo, con ocasión de los 60 años de nuestro Pontificio Colegio y los 500 años del cristianismo en Filipinas.
