PCF Thanks Pope Francis for New Antipolo Bishop Ruperto C. Santos

The Pontificio Collegio Filippino (PCF) in Rome and Friends of the Collegio worldwide thank the Holy Father Pope Francis for appointing His Excellency, Most Rev. Ruperto C. Santos, as the new Bishop of Antipolo.

Bp. Santos resided at the PCF as a student in the late 1980’s, and served as Rector from 2000 to 2010. His successor and current PCF Rector, Fr. Gregory Ramon D. Gaston, thanks him for his continued service as Chairman of the Episcopal Commission on the PCF, of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines.

Fr. Gaston adds that, “A special link exists between Antipolo and the PCF, through our common Patroness, Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage. We turn to her intercession for our ongoing formation, as we do graduate studies in the diferent universities in Rome, and as we serve our Filipino migrants. May Our Lady of Antipolo continue to guide Bp. Santos in this new stage of his ministry.”
